Welcome to the Old Reed Bed Studios

The Old Reed Bed Studios are situated close to the Medway Estuary on the North Kent Coast. Established in 1990 by Jean Lowe in a converted stable block in the grounds of her home, the small studios currently provide workspace for three ceramic artists, a jeweller and a textile artist.

The mud-flats and boats of Halstow Creek, farmland, open skies and ever-changing light of the surrounding countryside, provide constant sources of inspiration to the resident artists.
